Conservation Support
Farmers on the Rock (FOTR) encourage and challenge farmers to try a new conservation practice or to improve it the next year (more species, more acres, less tillage, ect).
The following practices are being offered:
Well testing for Nitrates FREE up to 2 tests
Nitrate Modeling & Management minimum $5.00 up to $500 (100 acres)
New Cover Crop Implementation minimum $15.00 up to $1000 (66.6 acres)
FOTR is a nonprofit group advancing the learning and growing of information through conservation practices. We encourage recipients of cost share monies, as well as those interested and doing their own conservation practices without cost share monies, to provide feedback and insight into their practices, results (good/bad/no change), and future changes from practices tried. This information is valuable and would improve the learning curve for everyone. Incentive/cost share payments will be dependent on available funds.
